UM Theater Arts Teaching Building

ECSG served as LEED Consultant and provided LEED commissioning, enhanced commissioning, and energy modeling services for the University of Miami Theater Arts Teaching Building in Coral Gables, FL, a new 16,000-square-foot, two-story academic building designed to support the University’s Department of Theatre Arts. The project includes acting rooms, dance and voice studios, a black box theater, practice rooms, lockers, administrative space, and student support areas that create a modern environment for teaching, learning, and creative expression. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification and reflects a strong commitment to sustainable design, energy efficiency, and long-term operational performance. This achievement represents a meaningful addition to the University of Miami campus and supports sustainable development across higher education and institutional projects in South Florida.
