Meet Our Founder: Jason Biondi
Born and raised in Miami, FL, Jason Biondi is the visionary force behind Energy Cost Solutions Group (ECSG). A graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, Jason majored in Environmental Science and Sustainability, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree.
The Journey: Before transitioning into environmental consultancy, Jason spent nearly a decade as a licensed Captain, engaging in Sail Training and Expedition Sailing Worldwide from 1995 to 2004. His expertise extends to vessels up to 500 tons on any ocean, under sail or tow.
A LEED Accredited Professional: In 2004, Jason became a LEED Accredited Professional, marking the beginning of his career as an Environmental Consultant and LEED Certification Project Manager.
Pioneering ECSG: In 2007, Jason founded ECSG, a business dedicated to promoting high-performance, green construction. ECSG focuses on energy savings, commissioning, and minimizing environmental impacts in both new and existing buildings.
Certifications and Services: Under Jason’s leadership, ECSG has certified public and private sector projects under various criteria, including LEED, Energy Star, and the National Green Building Standard. Currently engaged in projects pursuing LEED New Construction, Core & Shell, and Existing Buildings Certification, ECSG also specializes in Energy Star Certification, Fl. Green Building Coalition Certification, and the National Association of Home Builders’ “National Green Building Standard.”
Comprehensive Expertise: Beyond certifications, ECSG, under Jason’s guidance, performs commercial energy audits, energy modeling, commissioning, blower door/duct tightness testing, and environmental impact analysis statements for major Use Special Permits.
