Supply chain sustainability: Creating resilient industrial facilities

Recovery efforts are an opportunity to make sustainable changes that improve efficiency, enhance resilience and support worker and community health and well-being. Manufacturing spaces operate on a vastly different scale than other types of buildings. An estimated 6,850 manufacturing projects are participating in LEED in nearly 80 countries and territories.

A 2016 USGBC LEED in Motion: Industrial Facilities report highlighted efforts from several projects and owners, including Intel, Method and Diageo, that are using LEED to support sustainability goals and increase operational efficiency. Here we explore other leaders, including L’Oreal, Colgate-Palmolive and Prologis, who are helping to drive the adoption of LEED and green building practices across the manufacturing and industrial sector.
